SAPPORO CANBOT
A series of custom CanBots inspired by the 22oz Sapporo beer can, contemporary vinyl collectibles and retro wind-up robots from Japan. These little bots were created as a tool for Sapporo's sales force to create a fun experience at bars. The goal was to increase awareness of the brand on premise, building an audience and participators who competed in jousting, sumo and race games in select areas.
The team and I collaborated with an outside vendor to create the robots. We designed the vintage look and mold of the bots, thought up how they function and then developed a series of bar games.
The instructional poster was an enhancement I brought to the table so we could illustrate clearly how the games came to life.
